Got so fascinated with giant silk moth we found at Liloan
I've never seen one like this before
it has pretty wings, colorful and very unique..
and i love the antennae...
yes, i was scared.. but i have to be closer to the subject..
Males can be identified by the plumose (feathery) antennae. Males use this to detect the chemical attractants called pheromones that are produce by the females. The antennae of the females are not as large as the males. So the sexes are dimorphic.
